IECRA is led by forward-looking court reporting firm owners Mike Lieschke and Steve Grant, who founded the organization to address the changing dynamics within the state of Illinois. Lieschke and Grant and all engaged with the organization recognize that – first and foremost – the purpose of court reporting in the state is to ensure that the legal system is supplied with a qualified, professional workforce of court reporters. That workforce necessarily must include digital reporters and voice reporters to supplement the acute and exacerbating shortage of stenographers.
